According to Mr. Hien, the VSIP industrial park project has an investment scale of about 900 hectares, of which in the first phase, the project has approved the assignment of 297.3 hectares to VSIP. “This is a project that is considered by the city as a resource calling for investment, making a great contribution to the local socio-economic development,” he said.

Previously, at the conference to implement the Resolution of the National Assembly on piloting several specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Can Tho city in April 2022, Mr. Le Quang Manh, Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee, Mr. The local Vietnam-Singapore industrial park project is one of three large-scale projects deployed by the locality.

According to Mr. Manh, the investor wanted to set up an industrial park with a scale of 1,600 hectares, but initially, the locality only accepted over 290 hectares to consider the actual implementation of the investor. “They committed that after 12 months from the start of infrastructure work, they will fill up 50% of this 290-hectare area,” Manh said.

In addition to the above project, according to Mr. Manh, the other two projects in the local focus are the Agricultural Production Linking Center project and the O Mon Energy Center project.
