Binh Duong has about 2,300 businesses related to the support field, but only a small part of the requirements are met.

On the afternoon of September 15, the seminar “Supply chain transformation – opportunities for Vietnamese businesses” took place at the Convention and Exhibition Center of Binh Duong province.

The workshop was organized by the Department of Industry (Ministry of Industry and Trade), Binh Duong Provincial People’s Committee, and Tuoi Tre newspaper.

Speaking at the opening of the first workshop, Mr. Le The Chu, Editor-in-Chief of Tuoi Tre newspaper, set up opportunities for Vietnamese businesses to enter the huge application supply chain through real stories.

Mr. Vo Van Minh – Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial People’s Committee – said that to both support businesses, support companies, and welcome step by step transformation of the global supply chain, the province orients to build science and technology industrial parks. There are new incentive mechanisms created through the “Smart City” project.

Show Binh Duong continues to promote investment promotion, in which priority is given to attracting projects with high science and technology content. According to Mr. Minh, in fact, over the past time, Binh Duong has attracted many large domestic and foreign projects, making an important contribution to socio-economic development.

However, like the general implementation of the whole country, local businesses still depend on many components to import raw materials. In particular, the photo gallery of the COVID-19 epidemic and the world situation of many professions is more seriously lacking.

Speaking at the seminar, Mr. Pham Tuan Anh, Deputy Director of the Company pointed out the weaknesses of supporting businesses. While the link between enterprises is still weak, the ability to access capital is low due to the small scale of production.

“Most of the supporting jobs are micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, so there is no collateral. Even if the business plan belongs to the ordering unit, human resources are the main factor. It is very difficult to get a loan from the bank,” said Mr. Pham Tuan Anh.

Mr. Pham Tuan Anh added that he would acknowledge the contributions of businesses, industry associations, and localities in taking advantage of opportunities from the transformation of the global supply chain in Vietnam.
